Volunteer Op; Pre-Campaign Phone Blitz

CKUA receives 59% of its revenue from donations. This means that when we start a relationship with a donor, we need to continue to communicate and steward these donors and remind them that they have the opportunity to continue supporting the station they love!

CKUA has two fundraisers each year, with the next one coming up this fall. In order to kick-off the campaign, we are organizing a callout blitz to all of our lapsed donors (approx. 2500!). These are people who enjoy and listen to CKUA, but have not been active donors for the last two campaigns. We are looking for volunteers to help us get in touch with these donors and encourage them back into the fold. It may seem intimidating at first, but remember that these are people just like you, with a strong passion for CKUA.

We also want to note that there is a matching pool for any donations that come in during the blitz, so think of it as 5 days of DYD!

Shift Details:
Sunday, September 29 - Thursday, October 3 (5:00 - 9:00pm each night)
Need 10 volunteers for each night
A light supper will be served at 5:00pm

Experience/skills Required:
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of CKUA is an asset

What we need help with:

• Phones:
• Calling out to past donors and inviting them to be active donors once again
• Answering any questions that the donors may have (there will be staff and lead volunteers to help you)
• Filling out pledge forms legibliy and completely
