Happy Fundraising!
It is that time of year when all of our lovely volunteers and staff are hard at work! We are currently in the middle of CKUA's Spring Fundraiser, which started on Thursday April 24th 2014 and will run until Sunday May 4th 2014.
Our main objective is to be able to provide our dedicated listeners with the best quality services. By celebrating music and engaging the community we strive to make life worth listening. Our target goal for the fundraiser is to reach $500,000 dollars in donations from our fantastic donors. Currently we are sitting at $248,304! (almost half way there!)
As many of you already know, the fundraiser does not limit our donors to a one time donation. We also allow them to become ongoing donors (or increase their already pre-existing monthly donations) as well as we offer a donated hour of broadcasting for the high rollers. For example a donation of $500 allows the donor to dedicate an hour of program on behalf of themselves or even on the behalf of a loved one for a special occasion! However as many of you (our volunteers) know, the busiest time is during the double your dollar hours! This is the perfect time for a donor to donate because there donation will be doubled from a pool of donations we have gotten from other fantastic leadership donors. The Spring Fundraiser would not have successfully started if it were not for both our volunteers and donors.
